Aims & Scope
Optimum Science Journal (OPS Journal) promotes and publishes scientific publications on research and application topics that approach nature, human beings, the world and the universe from a scientific point of view and try to understand the working principles of these mechanisms.
Methodologically, OPS Journal adopts quantitative principles as an approach to the study, modeling and solution of existing problems. The scope of the OPS Journal is focused on the connections between operational research and decision processes.
OPS Journal studies and publishes in the following areas.
These fields collectively contribute to our understanding of the natural world and have practical applications that impact our daily lives and the advancement of of science, technology, engineering, medicine and field education.
- Physics: The study of matter, energy, and the fundamental forces of the universe.
- Chemistry: The science of the composition, structure, properties, and changes of matter.
- Biology: The study of living organisms and their interactions with their environment.
- Astronomy: The study of celestial objects such as stars, planets, and galaxies, and the broader universe.
- Environmental Science: The study of the environment and the impact of human activities on the natural world.
- Applied sciences: The study of scientific knowledge to solve real-world problems, improve existing technologies, and develop new ones.
- Engineering sciences: The study of applied sciences that specifically deal with the design, development, and application of systems, products, and processes.
- Ecology: The study of the relationships between organisms and their environments.
- Neuroscience: The study of the nervous system, including the brain and its functions.
- Genetics: The study of genes, heredity, and the variation of organisms.
- Biotechnology: The application of biological principles and techniques to develop new technologies and products.
- Mathematics: While not exclusively a natural science, mathematics plays a fundamental role in all natural sciences, providing the language and tools for modeling and analysis.
- Microbiology: The study of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
- Materials Science: The study of the properties and applications of materials, often at the nanoscale.
- Science Education: The study of field education research (medical education, engineering education, chemistry education etc.)
So, for example, the OPS Journal welcomes submissions on the following topics;
(i) presenting relevant advances in problem structuring, decision analysis and multi-criteria decision making,
(ii) address issues of process design, model validation in conjunction with techniques such as data mining, forecasting, optimization, simulation and performance measurement
(iii) to provide reflective descriptions of decision processes that exemplify the use of operations research in application areas such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, environment, field education and medicine.
(iv) Quantitative and qualitative research in field education (science education, medical education, engineering education, chemistry education etc.)
OPS Journal primarily publishes original research articles, but surveys and tutorials may also be considered.
